During this year’s harvest, Rio Largo olive estate teamed up with Slow Food Mother City to arrange a group visit to the farm to show how the olives are picked and processed. After spending the morning at Rio Largo, the group moved to De Kaap restaurant between Robertson and McGregor for an olive oil tasting and a fabulous farm style lunch. After an informative tasting and a relaxing lunch the group continued to Voor Den Berg, a table olive farm in McGregor. There they were shown how table olives are processed.
The event was a huge success and sure to be repeated next year.
