Which is a shame as Morgenster estate offers stunning views and a tranquil environment. But that is about to change with the announcement that 95@Morgenster will be opening in September.
From 1 September, you will have even more reason to visit this premier estate. Morgenster has teamed up with Giorgio Nava, of Carne and 95 Keerom fame, to create a 100 seat luxury dining experience that will be 95@Morgenster. The 2013 Grana Padano Italian Cuisine Worldwide Award winning chef is truly a force to be reckoned with, and if his constant activity at and careful guidance of his other restaurants is anything to go by, Morgenster’s new potential foodie haven is set to soar.
Morgenster aims to begin slowly and with great care, as they seek to provide perfect service and a kitchen that produces culinary quality deserving of its head chef and breathtaking setting. The guest area will be fine tuned to suit customer needs within these early months, ensuring an enjoyable experience for each person that passes through the restaurant doors.
This renowned olive and wine estate in Somerset West dates back to 1711, but its olive producing pedigree took off in the 1990s due to the efforts of Guilio Bertrand and his import of high quality olive cultivars from Italy. It is set between the stunning Schaapenberg and Hartenberg ranges, meaning that its superb product quality is matched by an equally captivating setting.
Giorgio and the team at Morgenster are working to have their new flagship dining experience ready for the summer season, so you just may have another prime destination to add to your day-trip calendar.
