Sol&Agrifood: The Leading Exhibition For Olives, Olive Oil & Agro-Foods

The important and innovative annual exhibition Sol&Agrifood takes place in Verona, Italy, from 10-13 April 2016. The event showcases olives, olive oil and agro-foods and is a fine complement to VINITALY, the world’s largest wine show. Sol&Agrifood shares the dates and is co-located with VINITALY.

The format of Sol&Agrifood and its initiatives encourage direct contact between producers and trade opertors, buyers and catering professionals. The aim is allow producers to explain and narrate how products come into being, what are they, where the raw materials come from and any related traditions.

This year the figures showed a 27% increase in attendance:
• It covers 3624 sq m
• There are 270 individual exhibitors
• 64.102 (audited figures) visitors came to the show

The show showcases:
• Olives
• Olive oil
• Agro-foods such as:
o Pasta
o Delicatessen meats
o Cheese
o Craft beer
o Coffee

This is an integrated exhibition catering for B2B meetings and tastings for:
• Wholesalers
• Importers
• Food retailers
• Caterers, hotels and restaurants. It lends itself to niche market and high end product range and emphasises the quality of agro-produce.

Sol d’Oro is the most important international olive oil competition in the world, organized in Verona (Italy) by Veronafiere as a preview to Sol&Agrifood. The competition aims to promote the world’s best extra virgin olive oils and encourage improvements in production and quality. During the Sol&Agrifood event the olive oils winning awards will displayed and available for tasting.
